This policy explains how FINORA SYSTEMS SA (Pty) Ltd ("FINORA", "we") handles personal information on this website and in the FINORA service, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Our two roles
- Operator. When an organisation puts its employees' or suppliers' information into FINORA, that organisation decides why it is used and we process it on its behalf, under an operator agreement. If you are an employee, your employer is the party to ask about your payroll information.
- Responsible party. For people who use this website or sign in to FINORA, we decide how their information is used.
What we collect on this website
When you use the Get Started form we collect your name, email, phone number, company name, number of employees, the modules you are interested in and your message. We use it only to contact you about FINORA. The service itself holds the account, payroll and accounting information that customers enter.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and set up your workspace.
- To run, secure and support the service.
- To meet legal duties such as tax and record-keeping laws.
We do not sell personal information. We send marketing only to people who have asked for it, and every message lets you opt out.
Who we share it with
Only providers we need to run the service (for example hosting and email), under contract, and authorities where the law requires. If information is stored outside South Africa, it is transferred only where the protection is comparable or contractually secured.
How we protect it
We use encrypted connections, role-based access, hashed passwords, limits on failed sign-ins, backups and activity logs. If personal information is compromised we tell the affected customer without delay so that the Information Regulator and affected people can be notified as POPIA requires.
How long we keep it
Website enquiries are kept while we are dealing with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Customer records are kept while the account is active and for the periods tax and labour law require after it ends, then deleted.
Your rights
You may ask us to confirm what we hold about you, give you a copy, correct or delete it, object to its use, or stop marketing. Email info@finorasystemssa.co.za. We reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies.
